Victorian/Edwardian Tile Restoration, Cleaning & Sealing in Hinckley.
Victorian & Edwardian Tiled Floors Are Extremely Popular In Both Urban And Rural Areas.
Did you know that even Victorian floors that were laid over 70 years ago can still be fully restored and cleaned to their original condition? We can do this by using Victorian tile and grout cleaning solutions and methods. Victorian tiles are made from durable clay. They can withstand even the heaviest of soiling as well as foot traffic. However bad the condition, we can restore them for you. Your Victorian tiled floor will at some point require a complete restoration. There could be several reasons for this need, but the most common are; Grout Damage, Irremovable Traffic Patterns, Scratches, Loss Of Shine, Clarity In The Floor, Problem Staining or a various number of other defects which can not be repaired by general cleaning alone. These problems/issues may need the use of specialist cleaning solutions and tools, or even something more high tech like our diamond cleaning and polishing pads and machinery. To keep your floor looking it’s absolute best daily cleaning will majorly help. Also using a flat micro-fibre mop and a high quality PH neutral stone cleaner will also make a massive difference on keeping your floor looking fresh and new. You can also achieve the same results on an old Quarry or Terracotta floor.

- We respectfully request that the flooring area to be cleaned and restored is completely empty of all furniture, unless by previous arrangement.
- On arrival we carry out a full risk assessment, then discuss any issues.
- The first stage of the process is a full audit of the flooring highlighting and identifying any possible pre-existing damage or problem areas that will require special treatment.
- When happy we mask up and protect all areas, skirts etc. as prevention is always better.
- We then fully clean the stone with relevant pads and a neutral cleaner rinsing and extracting with a pressurised water vortex system; this extracts all the dirt and residue.
- We then neutralise and fully dry the areas using high powered air movers.
- We then seal the flooring by hand using a natural co-polymer seal in gloss or natural, or a colour enhancing impregnator as applicable.
- We repeat the sealing process 3 to 5 times as applicable.
